Integrate SMS into your application

The FITSMS API lets developers trigger SMS messages directly from business applications. Typical integrations include OTP verification, order updates, payment notices, support alerts and automated customer communication.

Use API credentials from the FITSMS platform and keep them on the server side. Production applications should store credentials securely, validate recipient numbers and log request and delivery results for troubleshooting.

FITSMS is suitable for PHP and Laravel applications as well as Node.js, Python, Java and other platforms that can call REST APIs. The public GitHub resources can be used as a starting point for integration examples and supported libraries.

WooCommerce and Shopify-specific options are also available for ecommerce teams that prefer a platform integration instead of building directly against the API.

Design reliable messaging workflows

For transactional systems, avoid treating a successful API request as proof that a handset received the message. Store message references, process delivery information where available and design retry rules carefully so customers do not receive duplicate notifications.

For OTP flows, use short validity periods, rate limits and verification attempt limits in your own application. FITSMS provides the SMS transport layer; your application remains responsible for authentication and business logic.
